OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0 Installation

This is a step by step guide for the installation of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11.1.1.6.0

 

  1. Click Next on the welcome screen

    01 - welcome

  2. Enter your Oracle Support credentials or chose to skip the software udpate check

    02 - software update

  3. Select the Installation Type

    03 - Install Type

  4. Enter a domain password to create a new installation or chose scale out

    05 - create domain or scale out

  5. Enter the path to the new Middleware Home, all other paths are automatically generated:

    Oracle Home Directory:
    c:\app\oracle\fmw\Oracle_BI1

    Weblogic Server Directory: c:\app\oracle\fmw\wlserver_10.3

    Domain Home: C:\app\oracle\fmw\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain

    Instance Location: C:\app\oracle\fmw\instances\instance1

    06 - mwhome

  6. Select the components to be installed and configured

    07 - select components

  7. Enter the information for the BIPLATFORM schema created by the RCU

    09 - BIPLATFORM info

  8. Enter the information for the MDS schema created by the RCU

    10 - MDS schema info

  9. Leave the Automatic Port Configuration option selected to use the default ports

    11 - configure ports

  10. Enter your Oracle Support account information to receive security updates

    12 - security updates

  11. Click install on the summary screen to begin the installation

    16 - Install Summary
